HOW DO I SECURE A DATE AND
WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS & CONDITIONS?
A non refundable $100 booking fee is required to secure your date for a wedding. Once a booking fee has been received, your booking is then secure - the date is yours! Unfortunately I can not 'hold' a date without a booking fee. (Please also note that this deposit is non refundable and you will be liable for the full payment of the booking if a cancellation is made with less than 1 weeks notice to your wedding date.) The remainder of your total balance is to be paid via bank transfer either 7 days prior to, or in cash on the day.
Payment either via bank transfer or cash on the day is required for any other makeup service.
DO I NEED A TRIAL?
Yes! Yes you do. It will allow both you and I to explore options and get to a level and look that you love! You want your wedding day to run as smoothly as possible, it also makes my job so much easier if I can come to you on the day of your wedding knowing exactly what you are wanting and can get straight into it while you can sit back, relax and enjoy your day.
WHEN IS BEST TO BOOK A TRIAL?
Anytime is good for a trial, some brides like to book well in advance so that can ensure they are happy with their makeup artist before securing their date, others choose to go ahead with booking and then have their trial closer to the wedding. Whatever works for you is totally fine. Please note however, if you do decide after your trial that you want a completely different look, please be prepared to pay for another trial.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO COME TO YOU FOR THE TRIAL?
Yes, absolutely, I am more than happy for you to come to my home for your trial - please just ask if this is something you require.
HOW LONG DO I ALLOW FOR A MAKEUP APPLICATION?
For bridal trials allow 1-2 hrs. This gives us time to discuss your ideas, the style of your wedding, hair & dress and also look over visual reference which I highly recommend bringing with you to your trial. It will also allow time to try any ideas that you wanted to experiment with before your big day.
For special occasion makeups allow 1 - 1/2 hrs. This time also includes my set up and pack up time.
Wedding days go super fast so it is best to have more time up our sleeve than not enough! We discuss timings at the trial and decide on suitable start times to ensure that my job is done within your time frame. These timings are an estimate, due to clients different skin types, chosen desired looks etc makeups can take shorter or longer than anticipated. I also take no responsibility for any bridal party delays, please ensure that anyone requiring makeup is ready & available to come 'sit in the chair' when needed.
CAN I ADD MORE PEOPLE ON THE DAY?
Sometimes other family members or friends can decide last minute to want their makeup professionally applied. Sometimes this can be accommodated, sometimes not, to help this be more achievable please discuss with family members and friends prior to your wedding day if this is something they may want and we can factor it into the day.
THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please come to your appointment with a clean, bare face with no applied serums, primers, moisturisers etc. Please ensure all mascara & eyeliner is removed. It is completely fine if you want to use your own skincare, please discuss this with me at your trial or when making your booking. Also ensure that your moisturiser contains no more than a SPF of 15.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
I use mostly MAC Cosmetics, Estee Lauder, Nars, Laura Mercier & Smashbox but am not exclusive to any cosmetics brand. All the brands I choose to use are high quality, high end brands.
DO YOU TRAVEL & WHAT IS YOUR CHARGE?
Yes, I love to travel! No distance is too far. There will be a travel fee depending on where I am travelling to. While I am more than happy to do out of town bookings, if accommodation is required then this cost will need to be covered by you.
WHAT IF I AM SENSITIVE TO CERTAIN PRODUCTS?
Please let me know if you have any hypersensitivities that you are aware of. If you are more comfortable using some of your own products please let me know and I will be happy to use them for you.
PHOTOGRAPHS & SOCIAL MEDIA
If you are happy for me to do so, I would love to use your professional photos to showcase my work on my website & social media pages. If you could please email me images that I can use once you receive them from your photographer or with your permission I can contact the photographer directly. I will credit the photographer on any images I post on social media. I will often share 'behind the scene' shots on my Facebook or Instagram pages, please let me know if you would prefer nothing was shared.
